The oldest Nigerian soldier is dead!!!
Born in 1918, Pa Adamu Aduku, who made headline on the 2018 Nigerian Army Day Celebrations (NADCEL), was announced dead by one of his close relations via WhatsApp.
Pa Adamu who never had any intentions of joining the Nigerian Army had a change of mind by an incident that happened prior him joining the Nigerian army.
In an interview, he said, “I was coming back from the farm one evening when I saw a man who was younger than me at that time beating our village head,” Salikawa, the man that beat up the Village Chief for refusing to carry his bag and see him off 10 miles away from his home.
This made Pa Adamu Aduku angry and so he decided to join the Nigerian Army, so that he can come back and and beat Salikawa who humiliated their Village Chief.

After reporting the case to the then District Officer, the chief was giving a humiliating and shocking reply, he was asked to obey the soldier for his own interest.
This made Pa Adamu Aduku angry and so he decided to join the Nigerian Army, so that he can come back and and beat Salikawa who humiliated their Village Chief.
